The Team

The Construction Disputes team is headed by a well known Partner with a strong reputation for fostering an inclusive, motivated team culture where individuals enjoy high levels of autonomy whilst receiving regular check-ins and active, engaged mentoring at all stages of their development.

The Role
  
The role will mainly consist of contentious construction work. The successful candidate will have a high level of client contact and will be expected to take responsibility for their workload and be proactive in their approach to the client's needs. The associate would also be involved in business development for the practice.

Key Requirements
  
The successful candidate will have NQ - 3 PQE level at a highly reputable law firm. Candidates with experience in engineering, PPP/PFI and energy contracts are encouraged to apply. 
  
You will ideally also have these qualities:
  • proven track record of involvement in significant contentious construction cases.
  • an aptitude for analytical thinking with strong problem-solving skills and a solutions oriented mindset. This includes managing risk by identifying potential issues early on and advising accordingly.
  • excellent communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to explain complex legal arguments clearly.
  • experience in planning and executing strategy, working on multiple matters and timelines with a commercial perspective, to ensure efficient delivery of legal services in accordance with client budgets.
  
Candidates MUST be a qualified solicitor.
