The Team
  
The Restructuring and Insolvency team handles a wide range of assignments, advising private equity firms, financial investors, creditors, governmental bodies, and debtors in complex insolvency proceedings and restructuring matters. The team is known for its advisory expertise, providing proactive support on financial instruments and large corporate transactions.
  
With a strong international focus, the team regularly collaborates with practices outside London, including the US, Asia Pacific, and Europe. This global network allows the team to provide cross-border legal advice to some of the largest and most intricate restructuring and insolvency assignments.
  
  
The Role
  
The successful candidate will work on a diverse range of transactions, from corporate restructuring to insolvency proceedings. You will provide strategic planning, negotiation, and implementation support to major international clients and offer guidance on cross-border legal issues.
  
Key responsibilities include:
  
  • Advising stakeholders such as creditors, debtors, and insolvency practitioners on complex insolvency matters.
  • Managing high-profile restructuring assignments with an international scope.
  • Supporting other practice groups with technical expertise on financial instruments and distressed situations.
  
Key Requirements
  
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 PQE from a leading City or overseas practice, or a top provincial firm with a strong restructuring and insolvency practice. Candidates with a solid understanding of both contentious and non-contentious insolvency and restructuring matters, particularly those with a transactional bias, will be considered. Non-UK qualified lawyers with relevant experience are also welcome to apply.
  
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • A strong academic record is essential.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Commercial awareness and a solutions-focused approach to legal challenges.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently when required.
