We are currently working with one of Australia’s leading renewable energy companies that develop, operate and own renewable energy assets in Australia. As an upshot of growth, our client is looking for a Senior Lawyer, Projects (which sits in their Project Construction & Disputes team). 
  
This role will see you being the legal lead on significant business contracts and projects being undertaken by the business on the development, delivery and operations of their energy projects.
  
Additionally, you will provide practical and strategic commercial legal support across the business based on a sound understanding of the business’ goals and commercial drivers. You will also instruct and efficiently manage the use of external lawyers.
  
Your role will involve the negotiation and drafting of:  

• Renewable energy projects agreements related to development, construction and/or operations; and/or
• Power purchase agreements and access/connection agreements (and/or gas sales and transportation agreements).  

About you
  
Candidates will have 8+ years PAE experience in the drafting and negotiation of major contracts in the energy sector, gained in either an in-house, or law firm environment. Though experience in the energy (traditional or renewable) sector is ideal candidates with experience in other major sectors are still encouraged to apply.
