About the Role

Join a busy team of 6-7 professionals, supporting two highly regarded Partners with a rare mix of litigation and advisory work. You’ll be assisting with court preparation, filing documents, managing briefs, as well as calendar/inbox management, travel coordination and organising client events.  While one partner’s practice leans toward litigation in the pharmaceutical, biopharma, and biotech sectors, the other partner’s work focuses on IT, telecommunications, and data protection.

You’ll be working closely with the team, with two "heavy" users of your support: one in litigation and the other in advisory work. There’s a mix of responsibilities, from typical legal assistant tasks to more complex litigation-related duties like preparing bundles and e-filing court documents. Moderate billing will also be part of your routine, and experience with Aderant would be a bonus!

About You

• 4+ years of experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally at the Partner level.
• Litigation experience is essential.
• IP knowledge or experience in life sciences or pharmaceuticals would be advantageous, but a strong interest in these areas can go a long way.
• You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, handling complex billing, and remaining calm under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously are a must.
• Good tenure in previous roles
• Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• This role is a career Legal Secretary role and not suitable for law students looking to gain experience.
