One of Australia's leading corporate law firms is expanding in Sydney and are looking for a top tier corporate lawyer with private equity experience to join their premier Australasian team.

Corporate team

The Corporate team works in close collaboration with a wide range of specialist teams across antitrust, regulatory, foreign direct investment, capital markets, finance, tax, and disputes.

The team is known for handling some of the largest and most complex transactions in the market. You will work alongside seasoned Partners, including those with significant experience in private equity, M&A, and cross-border transactions in industries such as healthcare, energy, industrials, and more.

The Role

You will work on high-value and high-profile corporate transactions, often involving multiple jurisdictions. The firm’s extensive global network ensures you’ll be working on cross-border matters, providing expert legal advice to clients entering new markets or navigating complex regulatory environments.

You’ll be joining a dynamic and supportive team, offering a mix of intellectually stimulating work and the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues both locally and internationally.

Requirements:

To be eligible for this position, you must have between 2-4 years of post-admission experience in corporate law, with a strong background in M&A and Private Equity.

Additionally, the successful candidate will:

• Be a resilient self-starter with excellent commercial acumen and intellectual curiosity.
• Be highly motivated, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Be a collaborative team player with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
