The Role
 
The inhouse legal team are now seeking to hire a senior level contract lawyer to commence immediately, for an initial 3 month term, with the possibility of extension.

This role will see you reporting to the General Counsel and Company Secretary to help provide legal support to the business.
  
This includes
  
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial and construction contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk management principles.
  • Advising on a wide range of legal issues, including compliance, corporate governance, and dispute resolution.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders to provide strategic legal guidance that supports commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborating with the General Counsel on major projects and initiatives.

The team offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with a strong focus on client service delivery. 

Requirements

To be successful, you will have be a senior level lawyer, with 5+ years front-end construction experience, gained either in house or in a law firm environment. 

In addition you will have: 
  
  • Experience in construction, projects, or commercial law;
  • Strong reviewing, drafting and negotiating skills;
  • Pragmatic and business-oriented approach, a relationship driven individual, who is commercially focussed;
  • Ability to work autonomously and handle competing priorities in a highly charged environment; and
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to represent the organisation competently, including when negotiating with external parties.
