Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced lawyer to join a government department dedicated to the evolving field of industry and innovation. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth legal knowledge in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies, particularly within the context of government regulation, policy development, and compliance.

Requirements
 
The successful candidate will have 5+ years PAE (or equivalent) experience in government and/or technology. 
 
In addition, you will have:

• Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills;
• Significant experience in AI-related legal practice, particularly in the areas of regulation, ethics, and compliance;
• Legal project management skills;
• Strong communication, negotiation, and drafting skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-experts;
• The ability to translate strategic direction into operational goals to achieve core business outcomes; and
• Advanced drafting skills.
