Background
We represent one of Australia's leading educational organisations who are looking for a senior level commercial lawyer to join their in-house legal research team, on a 9-month engagement, on a remote working basis.
The Role
This role involves generalist corporate commercial legal work, including general contract reviews, supplier agreements, assisting on general commercial transactions, and providing general legal, compliance and governance support. We are looking for a candidate with at least 5+ years PQE, and experience in either tertiary or general education industry background would be ideal, but is not a deal breaker.

- Demonstrated experience dealing with commercial contracts, negotiating with industry partners, community/ government agencies, international agencies and private organisations;
- Excellent communication skills;
- The ability to work in a team environment and make decisions in a legal context;
- A good understanding of the legislative, regulatory and policy frameworks surrounding the education sector more broadly;
- Collaborative working style, strong communication skills;
- Have advanced drafting skills; and
- Be adaptable, flexible and commercial in your approach.
