The Team

The Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) practice regularly advises in areas of intellectual property law and communications technology law on issues such as e-business and online transactions, websites, privacy and contracts.

Position Description

The firm’s Sydney office is now looking to recruit a talented and experienced TMT Lawyer/Senior Associate into its busy team as a result of growth.

The role will see you working with six highly-regarded partners in the Sydney team, in areas of intellectual property, technology and telecommunications, outsourcing and general commercial matters. You will be engaging in a variety of high-quality work, providing legal advice on matters related to information technology, outsourcing, procurement, and general commercial issues.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have between 4 to 7 years’ post admission experience in technology and privacy law, preferably gained within a dedicated TMT practice, with exposure to the GDPR

In addition to this, you will:

• Have excellent communication and negotiation skills;
• Have an ability to develop and foster long term client relationships;
• Have an ability to work in a team and autonomously;
• Be focused on delivering commercially sound and cost effective solutions; and
• Have experience mentoring and delegating to junior lawyers.
