Our client is a leading law firm, regularly acting for major national and international clients and advising on some of the biggest matters across the region.
Due to significant growth of the practice and a healthy pipeline of work, the Melbourne office of this leading firm is now looking for a talented lawyer to join its thriving Property practice.
The Team
The Property team in Melbourne is one of the firm’s most successful and high-performing practices. Known for its inclusive and supportive culture, the team includes over 30 professionals and five partners.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Associate or Senior Associate to join a growing team. You will work closely with a Partner who is an expert in commercial property transactions, handling a diverse range of matters including leasing, acquisitions and sales, property development, and project management due diligence.
Key responsibilities will include:

You will work closely with a Partner who is an expert in commercial property transactions, handling a diverse range of matters including leasing, acquisitions and sales, property development, and project management due diligence.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lease agreements.
- Delivering strategic commercial advice to clients.
- Supporting property-related work referred from other teams.
- Drafting agreements for lease, contracts of sale, and assisting with due diligence.
- Managing basic property dispute matters.
The firm is looking for a candidate with at least 3 years’ experience in a well-regarded property practice, with a focus on commercial office and industrial leasing.
Ideal applicants will have:
- Experience working with institutional landlords.
- Strong knowledge of agreements for lease, contracts of sale, due diligence, and basic property disputes.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
