The Team
The firm's Environment & Sustainable Development team advise on complex planning, environmental and land acquisition matters across all Australian States. As a national practice group, the team collaborates across all offices, specialising in areas that include environmental impact assessment, land acquisition and access, regulatory compliance, enforcement, litigation and disputes.
The Role
As part of the Environment and Sustainable Development team, you will work closely with leading Partners and a dynamic group of professionals. You will handle a wide range of responsibilities, including offering strategic advice, managing major projects, handling transactions, and resolving disputes for a diverse clientele, including government agencies and corporate entities.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of post-admission experience with expertise in planning, environment, and land acquisition matters, gained at a top-tier Australian or international law firm.

Additional qualifications and skills include:
- Proven experience in mentoring and supervising junior lawyers.
- Extensive experience in Land and Environment Court litigation.
- A well-rounded background in project, transactional, regulatory, litigation, and dispute work.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, counsel, junior lawyers, and other stakeholders.
