27 Jun Australian Private Practice Update – June 2023
The last month has seen anticipation (and some anxiety) grow as Australia’s lawyers approach salary review season. We’ll do a full review of what happens next month once the data is in and we’ve spoken to a cross section of candidates, but it’s fair to say that the early indications aren’t wildly inspiring.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens in a market where high expectations are probably unrealistic yet the increases in the cost of living have been so dramatic. These two gears will certainly grind together over the coming weeks and may well lead to the recruitment merry-go-round sparking back into life.
