2022 was a big year for our Legal Support and Shared services team here at Montgomery! Not only did we fill a variety of permanent and fixed-term roles from Legal Secretaries, In House EAs, and Paralegals to Business Development Managers, HR Business Partners, and Chief Commercial Officers, but we also filled many, many temp legal support roles too. We also continued to advise hundreds of candidates and clients on the market and salaries nationally.
The market remains busy and full of some great career opportunities, in particular for Legal Secretaries, Business Development Consultants, and HR Managers! We do expect that mid-next year we will see a slowdown and some caution as a result of overseas influences and we expect Legal Secretary salaries to become more consistent and not see as much growth as they have in the past 12 months. Flexibility remains the biggest driver for many in the market and firms offering this flexibility will no doubt continue to be popular in early 2023.
The team doubled in size this year with Lena Jiang joining us in September! Lena specialises in the recruitment of Legal Secretary roles and candidates have enjoyed meeting Lena this year, appreciating her informative, open, and honest approach to assisting them with finding a new role.
