05 May Staff Spotlight
What date did you join Montgomery? September 2019
What is the best and worst part of your job? Aside from getting to work with the Monty crew, getting to help people land their dream job or make steps towards landing their dream job! The worst part would have to be telling people who are really excited about a role that they didn’t get it.
Where did you grow up? Scone, NSW.
As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? A pop-star! I couldn’t sing or dance but I loved putting on a concert!
Who is your mentor or greatest inspiration? My mum. Corny, yes, but her work ethic and ability to adapt and just keep going, all while making sure everyone else is happy and looked after is honestly amazing.
What is your greatest achievement? My relationships with my friends and family.
What is your favourite movie? As a kid Mary Poppins, as an adult Copycat.
What is your favourite board game? Balderdash.
If you could be someone else for a day who would it be? (living or dead) Trump. I’d resign from the presidency and fire the person who does my tan!
Best holiday you’ve been on? I have been very lucky to have had some amazing trips, but Vietnam in 2001 and Cuba in 2004 with great friends are the two that stand out. I experienced two amazing countries that were so different from my life in Sydney and tourism was still so new in both places.
What three items are a must have if you were stuck on a desert island? 3 friends, someone else would have to pick which ones though.
If you won lotto what would you do? After the norm (house, car, set up family, charity) I’d buy a holiday resort for friends and family that had room for everyone to come and holiday when they pleased. Monty trips included!
On the other side of COVID, what will you not take for granted? Time with people in person.
